Xiaomi finally launches its much-awaited smartphone Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in China today.The Mi Mix 2 is price starts from RMB 3299 (Rs.32,500/-) for base 6GB RAM +64GB storage, 6GB+128GB at RMB 3599 (Rs.35,500/-) and 6GB+256GB at RMB 3999 (Rs.39,500/-) respectively.There is a Special Edition of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Special Edition 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which will cost RMB 4699 (Rs.46,200/-).
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is completely made out of Metal and Ceramic similar to original Mi Mix, whereas the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Special Edition is completely built out of the Single piece of Ceramic.It comes with Ultra Slim 7-series Aluminium alloy frame.Now with Mi Mix 2, it has 12% smaller bezel when compared with Mi Mix.It comes with the 4-sided curved ceramic body.It is just 7.7 mm thick and weighs 187 grams.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with 5.99 inches Full-Screen 2160 x 1080p FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.Now the Speaker and Proximity Sensor is hidden and can be found on top of the display which has a small hole for speaker and Proximity sensor.Now with Mi Mix 2, it comes with a 50W speaker with Sound Guiding tube.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 special edition is powered by SD835 chip coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM with 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options.There is no microSD card slot for expansion.
It has a Single camera with the same 12MP sensor found in Mi 6 which uses Sony IMX386 sensors which come with an aperture of f/2.0, 1.25-micron large pixel size and Dual tone Dual LED flash.It comes with 4-Axis OIS for the rear camera with support for video recording up to 4K.There is a 5MP front-facing camera with Facial recognition system which is located at the bottom right corner of the phone and has got Super lens Black coating on it.
The connectivity option includes Dual-SIM with 4G LTE 6 modes and 43 bands with VoLTE support, Dual band Wifi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type C port at the bottom of the device, and Fingerprint scanner with 18-K Gold plating at the back of the device.All this is fueled with 3400 mAh battery and runs Android 7.1.1 out of the box with custom MIUI 9.0 on top.
