Xiaomi is all set to launch the new budget smartphone with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A in China. As per earlier leaks, it was rumoured to be launched on Aug 21 and now it is confirmed as people got the press invite for the launch event.Now we some official press renders shared by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on Weibo yesterday of the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A which confirms that it will be launched on Aug 21.
As per the images shared by Xiaomi CEO, we can see the various colour options with Rose Gold, Gold and Grey of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A which were even leaked earlier. Xiaomi will release two variants one with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A other with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime/Pro version.The base version of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will not have fingerprint scanner where as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime/Pro version will have a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
Both the version is built out of metal and has three capacitive navigation buttons below the display.The power key and volume rocker are located on the right and SIM card slot on the left of the device.There is IR Blaster on top of the device.At the bottom, we can find the micro USB port with primary mic and speaker mesh.The device is just 7.31 mm thick.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will sport 5.5 inches 720p display. It is rumoured to be powered by SD425 and SD430 chips.The base version is having 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage whereas the Prime/Pro version comes with 3GB RAM+32GB onboard storage.As per earlier leaks, the base version will have 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera and Prime/pro version will have 16MP rear and 13MP front-facing camera.
