Earlier we had some rumours of Xiaomi launching its third sub-brand to compete with Oppo and Vivo exclusively in offline markets. Now we have the name of the upcoming Xiaomi sub-brand called as Lanmi which means Blue rice in Chinese.

According to the Chinese blogger, @贰手藝術家 has revealed the name of the upcoming Xiaomi sub-brand on popular Chinese social media website Weibo.Not only that he also mentioned the first model in the latest sub-brand will be called as Lanmi X1.

Yesterday we even got the details of the upcoming Xiaomi X1 which we taught to be Redmi Pro 2. But with this new post, we can claim that it is not Redmi Pro 2 but a new sub-brand Lanmi first smartphone.

As per earlier leaks, Xiaomi X1 aka Lanmi X1 will come in 4 variants.It will have 5.5 inches 2160 x 1080p display.Lanmi X1 will be powered by SD660 chip. Lanmi X1 will have dual camera setup at the back which will use Sony IMX362 or IMX368 sensor.Below the camera, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.The above model has 4 variants one with a standard variant having 4GB RAM+64GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM.The High-end variant will also have two models 4GB RAM+64GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM.

The other version of Lanmi X1 will sport 5.5 inches 1080p display.As per above version, this model too will be having the same SD660 chip and the same set of camera sensors, but the only difference is front mounted fingerprint scanner.This version too has 4 different models one with a standard variant having 4GB RAM+64GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM.The High-end variant will also have two models 4GB RAM+64GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM.

We have to wait for Xiaomi to announce it soon as per rumours it is expected to launch by end of this month.
