Google is all set to launch its flagship smartphone for 2017 with Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. With series of leaks about the device, now we have some rumours claiming that the  Google Pixel 2 will be the first smartphone powered by the all new SD836 chip.

As per earlier leaks, we got to know the overall design and looks, now we have some specs details expected to come with an unannounced SD836 chip from Qualcomm.The sources didn’t specify the Pixel 2 XL too will be powered by the SD836 chip or not.So we can take this news as rumour and expect both the phone to be powered by the SD836 chip.Earlier we saw the GeekBench leaks of the Pixel 2 XL which showed us that the phone will be powered by SD835 chip.

Qualcomm SD836 will be a minor upgrade to the SD835 chip similar to SD821.It will be built on the similar 10nm process but will have higher clock speeds and improved GPU.According to earlier reports, the Pixel 2 devices will come with Edge Sense tech which we saw on HTC U11.

Google might launch the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL this October.
