Microsoft Surfaces series is basically a Hybrid which has a detachable screen and can work both as a laptop and tablet, but now with the new Microsoft Surface Laptop is no more Hybrid but a true laptop with the non-detachable screen.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop is having a 13.3-inch PixelSense display with touch and Stylus support and has a resolution of 2,256 x 1,504 pixels with 3:2 screen ratio. The backlight Keyboard is covered with Alcantara a suede-like material. It will be available in 4 different color options with Platinum, Burgundy, Cobalt Blue & Graphite Gold. The laptops weigh around 1.25 Kg and are 14.5 mm thick.
The Surface Laptop promises to give a battery backup for up to 14.5 hours. The Surface chief Panos Panay says new Surface Laptop is faster than the MacBook Air. The surface laptop will run Windows 10S and will start from $999 (Rs.64,100/-) for Intel i5 7th Gen,4GB RAM and 128 GB SSD, based on the configuration it goes up to $2200 ( Rs. 1,41,120/-) for an Intel i7, 6GB RAM and 512GB SSD.
Microsoft has managed to put a full-size USB 3.0 port on the Surface laptop. There is no USB Type-C connector. There is a proprietary surface port at the back.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop can be preorder only in the US as of now.
