Mark Gurman, Bloomberg News‘ Apple Insider, reports that Apple is developing a low-end 11th-generation iPad for next spring. It is expected that this new model will be similar to the current one, but it will have a speed boost.
Low-end iPads start at $349, and the new model may also be priced similarly. Apple has been updating its iPad lineup in recent months. The launch of the new iPad Pro with the M2 chip, the new iPad Air with a 12.9-inch screen, and the recently released iPad mini with Apple Pencil were the first steps in this process.
There were many similarities between this new iPad mini and its predecessor. Apple’s A17 Pro chip, directly from the iPhone 15 Pro, is its defining feature, supporting Apple Intelligence. The new budget iPad may not be able to fulfil that scenario.
In 2024 or 2025, Apple is also expected to release a new iPad Pro with the M3 chip, according to Gurman. Since the current iPad Pro design is only a few months old, he doesn’t anticipate any other major changes.
Apple is expected to release many new products in the future, including this new iPad. Along with this budget iPad, Apple is also expected to release a new iPhone SE and a new Apple Watch.
iOS 18.2:
Apple Intelligence is making a significant leap forward with iOS 18.2, as noted by Bloomberg’s Apple Insider, Mark Gurman. It will include new features like Genmoji, a creative emoji generator powered by artificial intelligence, Image Playground, an image editor, and writing tool enhancements. The iPhone 16 will also feature Visual Intelligence, which provides information about the environment.
In the future, Apple may also integrate Google’s Gemini and possibly other chatbots. Apple Intelligence is moving towards an open and versatile platform, allowing users to choose their favourite chatbot. Multiple chatbot slots appear to be available in the settings panel within Apple Intelligence.
Apple Intelligence has exciting implications for the future of iOS if multiple chatbots are added. It is possible to have multiple AI assistants on one device, each with its own strengths and specialities. Users may be able to select the chatbot that best suits their needs and preferences, leading to a more personalized and versatile user experience.
