There have been reports of green line issues on some Samsung Galaxy devices since last year. Most affected models have Super AMOLED displays.

In some markets, Samsung offers a free display replacement once the program is widely used. Since last year, the company has been offering this service in India.

Samsung Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series devices are eligible for free display replacement. Samsung has now extended the program to include Galaxy S21 and S22 smartphones, as newer Samsung phones are also experiencing the same issue.

Devices with green lines on their screens can be significantly less usable. When such conditions exist, even small tasks like opening an app can become frustrating.

Samsung offers free displays to affected users. The affected devices will also get a free battery and kit replacement along with the display.

This offer, however, comes with a deadline. The free replacements must be scheduled by April 30th, 2024, at a Samsung Service Center. You might have to pay for repairs yourself if you miss this deadline.

Basically, this program provides free refurbishment for affected users. As the Galaxy S21 and S22 series are still receiving software updates and have relatively modern hardware, this free repair could really help extend their lives.

We recommend scheduling an appointment at your nearest Samsung Service Center before April 30th, 2024 if you own a Galaxy S20, Note 20, S21, or S22 with green lines. You can fix your phone and continue to enjoy it for years to come if you don’t let this opportunity pass you by.
